Integral Blinds Explained

Integral blinds are sealed between panes of glass in a glass unit, protecting them from dust, damage and daily wear. Unlike traditional venetian blinds that use a long single piece of string, these blind systems are operated by a cordless slider with a magnet, allowing homeowners in the UK to easily achieve light control and privacy.


Whether you're looking for the best option for a french doors, bifold doors or patio doors, integral blind systems offer a stylish upgrade for any room style. They're particularly effective for solar control, helping reduce the glare of the sun, while also providing noise reduction benefits compared to external blinds. They are an ideal solution in kitchens and bathrooms where moisture might affect traditional blinds.

  • Do integral blinds affect the energy efficiency of my windows?

    No, you can have peace of mind that our integral blinds are designed to work within our high-performance double glazing without compromising its thermal efficiency.

  • Can I have integral blinds in any window or door?

    Integral blinds can be fitted to most window and door styles, including bi-folds and conservatory glass. During your consultation, we'll advise which options work best for your specific requirements. 


    They work great in garden rooms and orangeries and come with several available colours.

  • Can integral blinds be fitted to existing windows?

    No, integral blinds must be built into new double glazing units during manufacture - they can't be added to existing windows.


    However, we can supply and install new windows with integral blinds in both uPVC and aluminium frames, with various blind widths available to suit different window sizes. As experienced installers of these blinds, we'll help you choose the right option for your home.
